Reading - Unit 1

I currently just finished unit 1 of my reading class.  All I have to say is that I am overwhelmed with the amount that goes into teaching reading to ESL student.  Ya, It makes sense but I never really thought about it from the other side.  It is quite the eye opener!  I've always been the person learning how to read so it didn't really cross my mind.  I was able to do a reading map using a new program that I've never heard before called Coggle.  I've never hard of the SQ3R Process before or Bottom-up and Top-Down Processing.  This unit was a bit difficult but interesting at the same time.  I look forward to the upcoming units in this course and learning more.
